Room Air Purifiers Ozone Air Purifier

Air Odor Cleaners

Air odor cleaners are a necessity for every household! Odors are simply a part of everyday life and can not be avoided. Anyone who's ever had kids, pets or a smoker in their home can easily appreciate the value of a good odor cleaner. A busy house means plenty of smells, whether they're from smoking, cooking, pet accidents or your kid's soccer uniform. Sometimes it takes good room air purifiers or some other quality air purifier or filter system just to keep up with the smells. Covering it up with sprays and other fresheners just won't do - you have to neutralize the odors to really clear the air. Fortunately, there are many air cleaners and purifiers on the market that use ozone, HEPA filters, and a variety of other methods (singly or in combination) to help keep your household smelling fresh and clean.

What about ozone air cleaners?

An ozone air purifier uses a two step process: oxidation and ionization. Ozone is a naturally occurring gas in the air and a purifier will split the oxygen molecules through oxidation. The second step is ionization to charge the dust and dirt particles with negative charges. The negative charges attach themselves to any pollutants in the air and force them to drop to the floor. In the newer models of air purifiers the ionization process uses safe radio waves to negatively charge particles in the air through walls and into other rooms. One unit can filter the whole house. They are effective in removing the smells and pollutants from smoke, cooking and any other odors present in the home.

Air cleaners galore

HEPA and ozone purifiers aren't the only types of air cleaners on the market by a long shot, but they're among the most effective. Room air purifiers using one or more HEPA filters are ideal for keeping nasty impurities at bay, and have the added bonus of removing odor particles as well. Some of the other pollutants in your air are both invisible and odorless. These include:

  • dust
  • pollen
  • dust mites
  • mold
  • allergens
  • bacteria
  • pet dander

Many purifiers come in decorative or wood casings that look very high end! You can install them in any room of your home and they look just like a piece of furniture. Some models are portable, so you can move them from room to room so you can keep the air fresh all over the house.
